Size Chart

At Retter Workwear we hold the view that the correct fit is equally as important as the fabric quality. A garment that fits you well will make your experience more comfortable, it will give you freedom of movement, and will help you meet safety requirements. In any case, if you are picking out industrial-grade (FR) coveralls for a harsh environment or healthcare uniforms for your tiring long hours, our exhaustive sizing procedure is there to make you the perfect fit. Walk through our instructions one after another and refer to our precise size charts to make your decision with certainty.

Why Correct Sizing Matters in Workwear

  • Enhanced Safety: A correct fit is what allows FR clothing to deliver the highest level of fire and heat protection.
  • Better Mobility: The body is free to move during the execution of difficult tasks.
  • Longer Garment Life: The right size helps the garment to be less worn and to keep its protective features.
  • Professional Appearance: For instance, it is very meaningful for healthcare coats, scrubs, and lab wear.

Tip: Avoid oversized garments as they may catch on machinery or compromise flame resistance.

Step-by-Step Sizing Process

Gather Your Tools

You’ll need:

  • A flexible measuring tape
  • A flat surface
  • A notepad or phone to record your measurements

Take Accurate Measurements

Use the chart below as a guide:

  • Chest/Bust: Place a measure tape all around the most protruding part of your chest and make sure the tape is straight.
  • Waist: Put the measuring tape around the waist and do not pull it tight while you take the measurement.
  • Hip: Use the measure tape and place it around the fullest part of your hips.
  • Inseam: The distance between the crotch and the ankle bone is measured for coveralls and pants.
  • Sleeve Length: The measurement is taken from the shoulder seam to the wrist bone.
  • Neck (for healthcare coats): The neck base is where the measurement is taken.
